O3'5 points 1 Previous Answers PSE6 5.P My Notes A block of mass m -2.00 kg is released from rest h fixed on a table of height H -2.00 m. o 600 m from the surface of a table, at the top of a -25.0. indine as shown in Figure Ps.se. The frictionless indie is Figure P5.58 (a) Determine the acceleration of the block as it slides down the incline 4.14 (b) What is the velocity of the block as it leaves the incline? 3.43 (e) Mw far from the table will the block hit the floor? 0.672 m/s2 m/'s (d) How much time has elapsed between when the block is released and when it hits the floor? 083 Your response differs from the correct answer by more than 10%. Double check your calculations. s (e) Does the mass of the block affect any of the above calculations? o no 5 8 O.

Explanation / Answer

C) Range R = v*sqrt(2*H/g)

R = 3.43*sqrt(2*2/9.8) = 2.19 m

D) time taken t = t1+t2

t1 is the time taken on the incline = v/a = 3.43/4.14 = 0.828 S
t2 is the time taken form height H to ground = sqrt(2*H/g) = sqrt(2*2*9.8) = 0.638 S

So total time taken t = 0.828+0.638 = 1.466 S
