Question
66. E Some people insist on believing that the positions of the planets at the time of your birth can have an influence on your life, a subject sometimes referred to as astrology. Some astrologers even insist that them is a physical basis in astrology because the gravitational pull of the various planets affects a newborn's body. Estimate the magnitude of the gravitational force on a newborn from the planet Jupiter and compare it with the magnitude of the gravitational force due to the pediatrician who happens to be present during the birth. Which is more likely to have a gravitational influence on a newborn child? Is this method a valid scientific test of the gravitational basis of astrology?Explanation / Answer
Formula for gravitational force is F = G*m1*m2/r^2
the gravitational force between the jupiter and the new born baby is Fj = G*mj*mb/r1^2
Gravitational force due to pediatrician is Fp = G*mp*mb/r2^2
here the mass of the jupiter is so many tome sgreater than the mass of pediatrician
and the distace from the jupiter to the baby is also larher when cpmpared with the distance between pediatrician and baby
So more is the distance then less is the influence on the baby
So pediatrician will show much influence than the Jupiter
>i think So it is not valid scientific test
