It will be appreciated if you upload a figure which is easily visible. this figure is quite unvisible , so If any value is not matching the given then please change accordingly.
Diffraction grating is given 6500 per cm
seperation of slit d = 1/6500 = 1.5*10-3 mm
Wavelength = 633 nm
Distance of screen D = 1 m
We know that
dsin(theta) = m*wavelength
for m = 1
Sin(theta) =( 1*633*10-9)/(1.5*10-6)
Theta = 24.96 degree
For m = 2
Sin(theta) =( 2*633*10-9)/(1.5*10-6)
theta = 57.56
(b) We know that tan(theta) = Y/D
for First Y1 = D*tan(theta1) = 0.465 m
Y2 = D*tan(theta2) = 1.5733 m
Distance between 1 and 2 = Y2 - Y1 = 1.108 m
(c) dSin(theta) = m*Lambda
for m = 3 Sintheta = 1.266 which is not possible therefore
Maximum number will be 5 = 2 above the central maximum + 2 below CM + CM = 5 fringes
(d)at 57.56 degree
