This systems used a special class of white blood cells known as lymphocytes to attack specific target antigens that the body has seen in the past. This involves B-cells, T-helper cells and T-killer cells. It is these pathways that are disrupted in AIDS.

Adaptive immunity or acquired immunity.

This type of immunity is aquired after the diseases .this immunity is long lasting and proved to perform a major against the disease. it uses antibodies to defand the body against pathogens.

Diseases like chikengunia and Dengue provide immunity against pathogens life long. it would produce memory cells which retain memory of the pathogen and its attack.and further protect body from pathogen.
