Conclusion Calculations: Show all work on this page (use the back, if necessary). middot Set the angle and the angular acceleration to zero. Set the angular velocity to 2.0 rad/s. Predict how far the ladybug will rotate in radians after 5.0 s. Check your prediction with the simulation. Was it correct? Set the angle to 5.0 rad and the angular acceleration to zero. Set the angular velocity to 3.5 rad/s. Predict the angle at which the ladybug will be at after 4.5 s. Check your prediction with the simulation. Was it correct?

Explanation / Answer

the lady bug in rotatory motion,

initial angle, angular acceleration, is zero,(w1=0 rad/s, theta1 = 0 rad)
angular velocity w = 2.0 rad/s, time t = 5.0 s

using equations of motion, (theta2 - theta1 ) = (w2-w1)t+ 1/2 alpha t^2
   subtituting the values

   theta2 = (2-0)5 + 1/2*0*5^2
       = 10 rad.

--------------------
given theta1 = 5 rad, alpha = 0 rad/s2, angular velocity w = 3.5 m/s, t= 4.5 s

(theta2 - theta1 ) = w t+ 1/2 alpha t^2
   subtituting the values

   theta2 -5 = 3.5*4.5 + 1/2 *0*4.5^2
   theta2 = 3.5*4.5 +5
   theta2 = 20.75 rad
