Predation Avoidance Model- survival is based on preventing the deaths of population members through organisms higher in the food chain and hence, maintaining survival of the species.

For resource defense, group size should be comparable or atleast higher than that of predation avoidance to territory size.

This is essential to maximise the amount of nutrition and habitat. Higher population means higher rates of control of the territory by a specific population and hence, higher yields.

Group size should be inversely proportional to predation rate, as members large groups have higher chances of being preyed upon.
