Question

An electronic component with a 4 a resistor is rated for use at power P levels not exceeding 16 W. How much current I can safely flow through this component? A device with a resistance of 3000 12 is connected to a 9 V battery. How much power P docs the device use? A 4 it resistor is connected across the terminals of a 10 V battery If a current I of 0.50 A flows though the circuit, w hat is the internal resistance r of the battery' What is the equivalent resistance of the circuit in the below case ?

Explanation / Answer

(1) the way to calculate this you just put it in the formula
p=(I)^2 R where I is the current.... R is the resistance... and p is the power
16/4= I^2>>> (4)^(1/2)=2 A that would be the max current that can pass through safely.
