How to solve this problem a to d

please! please solve detail. please explain detail. thanks :)

A periodic traveling wave is generated on a string of linear density 8.0 times 10^-4 kg/m. Figure A shows the displacements of the particles in the string as a function of the position x along the string at t = 0 s. Figure B shows the displacement of the particle at x = 0 m as a function of time. The particle positions are measured from the left end of the string (x = 0 m) and the wave pulses move to the right. a) What is the wavelength of the wave? (0.020 m) b) What is the amplitude of the wave? (0.01 m) c) Determine the speed of the wave. (0.05 m/s) d) What is the tension in the string? (2 times 10^-6 N)

Explanation / Answer

wavelenght of the wave is

distance between two throughs

0.03-0.01 = 0.02 m

amplitude is maximum displacment of the wave from the mean position 0.01 m

period of the wave from the graph 0.40 s

speed of the wave is

v = lamda/T = 0.02 m/0.40 = 0.05 m/s

T = v^2 u = ( 0.05)^2 ( 8 * 10^-4 ) = 2 * 10^-6 N
