The hose lies horizontally on the ground, and a stream of water sprays vertically out of a small leak to a height of 0.78 m. Find the gauge* pressure of the water:

a.) inside the hose, sufficiently far from the hole 7644

b.) halfway up to the top of the spray.

c.) at the top of the spray. 0

I cannot figure out how to answer b. I tried 3822 but it was incorrect.

velocity of the water when got out of the leak

v^2=2gh.

so v=sqrt(2gh)

V = sqrt( 2 * 9.8 * 0.78)

V = 4 m/s

From Bernoulli's equation

D*v^2/2 + P = constant

so

1000*4^2/2 +10^5=P

so P=1.08*10^5 Pa
