Explanation / Answer

a)

At STP (1 atm. & 273°K) one mole of gas occupies 22.414 liters.

At 303°K, one mole occupies {22.414 * (303/273)} = 24.87 liters

Room contains 6.5 * 5.7 * 3 = 111.15 cubic meters of air. One cubic meter is 1000 liters, so the room contains 111,150 liters of air. If each mole occupies 24.87 liters at 303°K then

Number of moles in room = 111,150 / 24.87 = 4469.24 moles.

b)

If the temperature goes up to 310°K, one mole now occupies 25.45 liters, so now the room contains 111,150 / 25.45 = 4367.07 moles.

The difference(Number of air moles that leave the room), 4469.24 - 4367.07 = 102.16 moles
