Question

As always, please read the lab write up first, then fill this out and bring it with you to Lab. Briefly, state in your own words what is different between the three physics terms: "Electric field", "Electric force and "Electric charge When we draw electric field lines, why can't the lines cross each other? In the diagram below, a positive and a negative charge are separated by a distance 2r. First on the diagram, draw the electric field vectors created by each charge at points A and B Below the diagram, show the net electric field vector at points A and B. (Think about how the size of the arrows representing the vectors should compare).

Explanation / Answer

Electrostatic or Electric field is a region near any electrically charged object whenever any charge enters in this region it will experience a force , the object will also feel that force. there are two types of charges positive and negative.

like charges repel each other while opposrite charges attracts each other.

so Electric force is the force which has been produced by the presence of electric field as discussed above.

Electric field is defined as electric force per unit charge therefore force depends upon the Electric fields.

Electric charge - Any matter is made up of atoms which have two types of charges proton and electron. these charges genrate electric fields.
