if the sun is the size of a grapefruit I am taking the diameter of 10 cm than

1) earth diameter = 0.09152 cm   

2) distance between earth and the sun = 10.75 m (distance across room)

3) alpha Centauri (nearest star to sun) distance from sun = 2902 km
