            YES. There have been a few impacts with NEOs ( near earth object ) is recorded in human history. these include the Tunguska impact in Russia Siberia ( year = 1908 ) , the Sikhote Alin iron meteorite in Western Russia (year= 1947), the Peekskill meteorite n 1992, the Carancas meteorite impact in the Peruvian Andes and the Airburst over Chelyabinsk Russia ( year = 2013) . there are many other also. but those above examples are the recorded incidents in recent history.

YES.

There is evidence that a large NEO of about 15 km impacted the Earth 65 Ma (million years) ago and wiped out the dinosaurs. This has been connected to the Chicxulub crater on the Yucatan peninsula area.
