1. Scott Deeter is the CEO of Ventria Bioscience company, which is developed an innovative technology to produce pharmaceutical protiens in the grains of genetically engineered rice. The problem facing by Deer and his company Ventria is that CRC advisory board and California Secretary of Agriculture not being convinced to allow Ventria start planting genetically modified rice in california. They lossed the trust of sponsers and stakeholders. Because of that the company missed two planting seasons and have loss, evntually lead to withdraw their capital and invest in other caompany's and projects.
2. Company board members and their organizations provided 80% of finance. They are Dr.Rodriguez - founder and cofounder of chiron crop, Dr. William Rutter- attorney and venture capitalist, Ron Vogel - president of great western malting and bioenterpreneur Dr Roberto Crea.Thomas Urban, Melvin Booth and David joined later.
3. First stake holders not will to poure money because it will not success because of huge opposition. Second stake holders decide to move their company outside of california or may be atleast outside of CRC regulatory.
4. If Ventria choses to employ a political action strategy , they will try to prove that thair project will not have negative effects on other rice crops and humans. They can convince as their project is benifit to state of california as bring in new revenue and state tax, provide many job oppertunities and decrease unemployment in the state.
5.If Ventria chooses not to engage in dialogue or political action, the best other option is moving the company to outside the california, where are no rice fields and proper food.
6. I think now Ventria investigate the possible places for their plant actions outside california and also search for the states where they have comfortable laws to do ricefield action without any disturbances and low payee workers, it will make them more profit.
