Explanation / Answer

Answers for first three questions are as follows:

1. The levels of the lake Michigan can be roughly said to be rising periodically. The rough cycliclicty can be said to be somewhere between 4-6 years. The magnitute of lake level rise is not constant and it varies as per the graph provided.

2. Since the sediments deposited as exposed in the cliff cut face is made up of sand dunes which is extremely loose and friable sand. This makes it susceptible to high level of erosion.

3. Due to drop of sea level during 1987-1990, the face of sand dunes is exposed and it makes the ambient pressure on the sand face to reduce starting caving. This further casuses erosion by the wind.
