y = v0y t + ay t^2 /2

-20.4 = (36 sin37.2) t - 9.8 t^2 /2

4.9t^2 - 21.8t - 20.4 = 0

t = 5.24 sec

D = (v0 cos37.2) t = 150.25 m

(B) in vertical,

-20.4 = (v0y) (2.5) - 9.8(2.5^2)/2

-20.4 = 2.5 v0y - 30.625

v0y = 4.09


and v0y = v0 sin(theta

4.09 = 36 sin(theta)

theta = 6.5 deg above the horizontal


(C) D = (36 cos6.5) (2.5) = 89.4 deg


(d) t = 36.3 / (36 cos23.4) = 1.10 sec

y= (36 sin23.4) (1.10) - (9.8)(1.10^2)/2

y = 9.80 m

(e) 20.4 = (vy)(t) - (9.8)(t^2)/2


vy = 20.4/t + 4.9 t


and 36.3 = vx t

vx = 36.3/t

and vx^2 + vy^2 = 36

416.16/t^2 + 24.01t^2 + 200 + 1317.7 / t^2 = 1296

24.01 t^4 - 1096 t^2 + 1733.86 = 0
