I am giving you the two definitions of magic number -

(i) The number '4' written in word "four" has four letters in it just like the number. This case happens with four, so it is the "magic number".

(ii) Nucleon is one of the fundamental particles that constitutes a nucleus of an atom. The number of nucleons of an atom is equal to its mass number. The atom with a specific number of nucleons is considered as stable, which means it does not undergo decay in nucleus. This number is called magic number.
