l Wieyps .. Check Your Understanding: Question 23.0s XInductive reactance is directly proportional to inductance. An air-core inductor is connected in series with a light bulb, and this circuilt is plugged into an ac electrical outlet. When a piece of iron is inserted inside the inductor, does the brightness of the bulb increase, decrease, or remain the same? increase O decrease O remain the same Click if you would like to Show Work for this question: Open Show Work Please save your WhiteBoard work as an image and send to your instructor outside of WileyPLUS Question Attempts: 1 of 2 used SAVE FOR LATER SUBMIT AN:Explanation / Answer
when iron core is inserted in to the induction coil it would increases magnetic field more in the coil so the the reactance due to induction coil with iron also increaes it results larger amount of voltgae will be dropped across the coil. Therefore the brightness in the bulb decreases.
