Explanation / Answer

The answers are:

<>Fig 1 : Loop moving West,induced current b <------- FALSE

As the loop is moving towards west, the magnetic field lines which are pointing into the plane of the loop from the right decreases, so the flux decreases. The induced current must be such so that this decreasing flux is increased. so the current will be directed in Clockwise direction( towards a) as seen from right.

<> Fig 1 : Magnet moving West,induced current a <------- FALSE

Now, the flux increases, the current direction will be opposite.

<> Fig 2 : Loop moving West,induced current a <------- TRUE

As the loop loves towards West, the flux increases, thus current must flow in counterclockwise direction so as to oppose this increasing (inward to the plane ) flux.

<> Fig 1 : Magnet moving east,induced current b <------- FALSE

Same explanation

<> Fig 2 : Loop moving South,induced current a <------- FALSE

AS it moves towards south there is no change in flux intering the loop. So there is no induced current

<> Fig 2 : Loop moving NOrth , no induced current <------- TRUE
