Question
A copper rod and an aluminum rod of the same length and cross-sectional area are attached end to end(Figure 1) . The copper end is placed in a furnace maintained at a constant temperature TCu = 450 C . The aluminum end is placed in an ice bath held at a constant temperature of 0.0C.
I got 280 my first try and was wrong. I really need help with this one
Calculate the temperature at the point where the two rods are joined.

Calculate the temperature at the point where the two rods are joined.
Explanation / Answer
let the temp. of junction is T
by heat transfer , (T-T1)K1A1/L1+(T2-T)K2A2/L2 = 0
now, (T-0)A*205/L+(450-T)A*385/L = 0
590T = 173250
so , T = 293.64centigrade
