Question
How was the object moving based on the information presented by the graph? Uniformly Accelerated Motion (UAM) Write an equation of the object's motion. (Use the following as necessary: t. Enter any numerical coefficients to at least three significant figures.) What will be the object's position at 13 seconds? (Enter an answer to at least three significant figures.) ASUColPhysMechL2 2.POST.003. The motion of two carts is described with the following equations: x(t) = 7t + 91 and x(t) = -261. Provide as much information as possible about the motion of these two objects. (Assume x is in meters, t is in seconds, and t > 0.) Will these two objects meet? Yes No If yes, when and where? (Enter your answers to at least three significant figures. If no, enter NONE.)Explanation / Answer
a) slope of x vs t curve will give velocity.
slope of x vs t is constant.
so constant velocity motion.
b) x(t) = 1.300t + 0.175
c) at t = 13 s
x = 1.30*13 + 0.175 = 17.075 m
-------------------------------------------------------------
2) x(t) = 7t + 9t^2
x(t) = -26t
at t = 0
both are at x = 0
after that second cart goes to negative x side and first cart go to positive side.
hence they will never meet.
