three ways to reduce the electric energy usage:
1. use of energy efficient electrical component :
using lower wattage electronics components,total electricity consumption can be reduced greatly.
for example:
consider ealier you were using a 100 W bulb for 18 hours a day for 30 days.
total electricity consumption=54 kWh
if we replace it by a 30 W bulb, total electricity consumption
=30*18*30=16.2 kWh.
percentage reduction in consumption=(54-16.2)*100/54=70%
by using simiar components, we can greatly reduce the electricity consumption.
2. using solar energy:
by using rooftop solar panel to compliment the house energy consumption,
the electricity bill can be reduced.
3. using higher energy star rated appliances:
higher energy star means the appliance is more energy efficient
so with the same amount of energy consumption, the higher energy star rated appliance will provide more output as compared to lesser rated appliance.
so by putting emphasis on always using/ buying high rated and efficient applainces, energy bills can be reduced drastically.
