Question
A number of resistors are connected across points A and B? What is the equivalent resistance between points A and B? If a 12V battery is connected, positive up, what is the current through that battery? What is the voltage across, say the lower right 2 Ohm resistor? please give a detailed explanation for each step. thank you
WWW 42 60 22 22 11) (10 pts A number of resistors are connected across points A and B as shown above. What is the equivalent resistance between points A and B? If a 12v battery is conncctcd, positive up, what is the current through that battery? What is the voltage across, say the lower right 2 Ohm resistor?Explanation / Answer
Loiking from the right side 2+2+4+2+2=12ohm
This 12ohm is in parallel with 6ohm ....so 6*12/(6+12) =4ohm.
This 4ohm is in series with the two 2ohm resistors.
So equivalent resistancr is 2+4+2 =8ohm
Current I=V/R
= 12/8 = 1.5Amps
Current in right 2ohm is 0.5Amps
