since the collision is perfectly ealstic and u2 = 0, it follows that the velocities after the collision will be,
V1 = (m1 - m2 ) u1 / (m1+m2) = (0.480-0.700)*4.55/(0.480+0.700) = - 0.8483 m/sec ( after using the values)
V2 = 2 m1 u1 / (m1+m2) =(2*0.480*4.55 )/ (0.480+0.700) = 3.70 m/sec (nearly) ( after using the values)
the direction of lighter object, after collision will be towards WEST(a).
while, that of heavier object will be EAST (b)
