Question
Why does increasing the current in the coil decrease the radius of the curved beam? Although you adjusted the beam radius via the coil current when you did this lab, do you think any other adjustment could have also changed the beam radius? If so which one and why? (The theory section and Figure 1 may assist you in answering this question.)

Increasing the current in the coil decreases the radius of the curved beam because it increases the magnetic field which, in turn, causes the beam to bend more (small radius of curvature).
Other than adjusting the beam radius, another way of achieving the result is to increase the magnetic field linked with the coil.
