let the current in 6 V is I1

current in 9 V is I2

Using KVL

6 - 2 I1 - 5 * (I1 + I2) = 0

7 I1 + 5 I2 = 6 ---(1)

again

9 - 4 I2 - 5 (I1 + I2) = 0

5 I1 + 9 I2 = 9 ---(2)

solving for I1 and I2

I1 = 0.24 A

I2 = 0.87 A

the curent in 6 V is 0.24 A

b) the current in 9 V is 0.87 A

c) when the switch is open

9 - 6 - (2 + 4 ) * I = 0

I = 3/5 = 0.50 A

the current in 6 V is 0.50 A
