How do I do part C and D. I tried rf - ri + vf deltat Please explain, Thanks!
(25 %) Problem 1: An object of mass 3.5 kg is moving under the effect of a constant force N. At initial time t = 0, the object is known to have the position m and a velocity of m/s with respect to a certain frame of reference. 25% Part (a) What would the x-component of the object's velocity be at time t-6 s? 25% Part (b) What would the y-com ponent of the object's velocity be at time t-6 s? 25% Part (c) What would the x-component of the object's position be at time t = 6 s? 25% Part (d) what would the y-component of the object's position be at time = 6 s?Explanation / Answer
c] By second equation of motion, x= xo + ut +0.5at^2
= -9 -19*6 +0.5*(5.5/3.5)*6^2
= -94.7 m
d] similarly by second equation of motion, y= yo + ut +0.5at^2
= 8 +10*6 +0.5*(-2.5/3.5)*6^2
= 55.14 m
