Can anyone help me write the prodcedure for Ohm's law lab. Here are the infors that are needed to write the prodcedure
Data :
Law describes linear materials, materials for which a direct the proportion exists between the voltage drop across the sample and t that results from this voltage drop I ca AV). Many materials In and AV. troduction are not ohmic. There is not a linear relationship between and experiment you will adjust the voltage across sample measure the current that results for both ohmic and non-ohmic samples Learning objectives: Conceptual: Distinguish between fundamental physical laws and phenomenological a relations (despite their names). Distinguish the definition of resistance a particular current from Ohm's Law and recognize when they may be the same Experimental: Observation and recording skill Analysis and Reasoning: Revisit simple graphing and modeling techniques. Distinguish between a ratio of values and the slope of a graph Report Writing: Forming an objective. Cautions and Alerts: General laboratory caution: When confronted with unfamiliar equipment never switch it on before you have received instruction or read the operator's manual. Experimental overview: You will make current and voltage measurements for two samples over a range of currents. Your analysis of the graphs will be different for a linear graph than for a graph that displays a curve. You will then form different conclusions about the two materials and report on these properties to your reader Supp Equipment: The circuit uses two meters, one, to measure current (A), is connected in series with the sample so that the current runs through both the meter and the sample. This meter must have a working fuse for the Amp scale. The other meter, to measure the voltage drop (AV), is connected in parallel across the sample. A V usually the older meter style. Backg ohm's can be described as an observation about certain simple round. materials rather than a fundamental law of nature. It simply states that the current/voltage relation for these materials is a direct proportion. Taking this perspective one could say that Ohm's law simply sorts one set of materials from all the rest When the material is linear the proportionality constant is the resistance (or conductance) of the material depending on which variable is considered to be the independent variable. So, when we Ohm's Law, Robert Hobbs 2007Explanation / Answer
The procedure of Ohm's law Experiment ids very simple.
First, Complete the circuit as shown in the book. A light bulb and an ammeter are connected in series with a variable power supply. A voltmeter is also connected parallely with the light bulb. (here, ammeter is use to measure the current flowing through the circuit (I) and voltmeter will be use to measure the voltage across the light bulb (V).)
Next, Note the reading of voltmeter (V) and ammeter (I) for different supplied current.
Next, plot a graph V vs I.
Same procedure is repeated by replacing the light bulb by a known resistance.
