Total distance travelled between t1 and t2 is, x = 169 - 9.625 = 159.375 AU

Average velocity, vavg = x/t = 159.375 / (8.00 - 1.75) = 25.5 Au/yr

(b) Instantaneous speed, v = dx/dt = 6.00t - 3.75

At t1 = 1.75 yr, v1 = (6.00 * 1.75) - 3.75 = 6.75 AU/yr
