Write an essay that explains the importance of motion to the study of physics. First, describe and define the properties of a moving particle, including position, velocity, and acceleration. Describe how these properties can be measured. Then provide detailed examples of how specific motion affects the world around you. Describe what is moving, and provide detail about the velocity and acceleration of the object. Where applicable, mention any force involved in the motion. Make sure to discuss at least one example of the motion of a macroscopic object, and two examples of the motion of a microscopic object (molecule, atom, particle).

We define the motion as the change of position of an object/particle with respect to time. Motion can be described in terms of displacement, distance, velocity, acceleration, and many other physical parameters. Motion is very essential to understand the physical reality around ourselves. If the position of an object is not changing with respect to time then it is said to be at rest. An object can not change from rest until an external force is applied on it. The object's motion is also measured in the units of its momentum which also quantifies its velocity.

The object's position is a corodinate representation to understand where the particle or object is situated. velocity is the rate at which the position changes from a point to another point with respect to time. The velocity is the time derivative of the position. Now under the influence of external force the object can change its position. As the force is applied, it will undergo some acceleration which is the rate of change of velocity or the time derivative of the velocity vector. The force applied and the acceleration of the object are generally connected by the means of Newton's second law F=ma. The moving object also has one important parameter which is called momentum which is a product of mass and velocity.

There are different types of motion around us. for example, simple harmonic motion, anharmonic motion, periodic motion, linear motion, reciprocal motion, random motion. One interesting type of motion is in the space time, the space time fabric is expanding. That means everything in this unverse is stretching like a rubber band. This motion is the most obscure as it is not physical motion as such but rather a change in the very nature of this universe. The primary source of this motion's verification was provided by Edwin Hubble. Another type of motion that we don't generally observe is the motion of earth. The earth is rotating around its axis which is evidenced by day and night. At the equator the earth has a velocity of 1040 mph. The Earth also revolves around the sun with a velocity of nearly 67000 mph.

Brownian motion is a beautiful example of microscopic motion. It is a the random motion of particles suspended in a fluid resulting from their collisions with the fast moving atoms or molecules in the gas or liquid. It is one among the simplest of the continuous time process.

Another microscopic motion is the free electron movement inside a metal. The electrons which are taken from the metal centers exist in a constant potential field and that means there is no potential difference between any two points so the electron is free to move from one point to another point. Now the electron's motion in the metal's constant potential field can be quantified using quantum mechanics.
