Part P- 1: The Ammeter To measure the current flowing through a device, an ammeter must be connected in series with the device. That means the current must flow through the meter before or after it flows through the device you are attempting to measure. Figure 1 shows two ways of connecting an ammeter to measure the current through a resistor. An ammeter is a device for measuring the flow of current in electric circuits. Figure 1 The ammeter in Figure 2 will not read the current through the device, because a large current will flow around the device and through the ammeter, very little will flow through the device. Connecting an ammeter in tis fashion is also likely to burn out the ammeter. When using an ammeter properly, you will always be disconnecting a wire at the point you want to measure the current and inserting the ammeter into the circuit at that point. For example, figure 3 shows how to measure the current through resistors A and B, by disconnecting the wire from A to B and inserting the ammeter into the circuit. 1. Here i am not exactly getting what you want to ask as everything is already clear in experiment.
1) for measuring current we need to use ammeter in series with the circuit and for voltage voltmeter is placed in parallel to load.
3) a. here it is all experimental to measure the current in the circuit.
b. If ammeter is placed other way i.e. In parallel then it won't give the correct value of current even it will not give any value and there are chances of destruction of ammeter in this case.
c. There is no way to comapre both ways for current measuring.
4) if the bulb has the different resistance that of resistor used in previous case then current through ammeter would be different in both cases.
5) if voltage source is not changed but resistance is changed then using ohms law V=IR then current drawn from the battery will be different in both cases.
