Possible when the lonic Detergent Compatibility Reagent (IDCR) is used. 4. Protein-to-protein assay uniformity for a set of immunoglobulins, bovine serum albumin and other example proteins.

Explanation / Answer

1. Human folate binding protein- assay ----> 660 nm assay. The buffer for this protein contains chelator, reducing agent and SDS (anionic detergent) . Thus the 660nm assay is the only assay that would be compatible for all the buffers that the protein would be dissolved in.

2. Human gamma globulin- assay ----> Micro BCA. The incompatibility of this assay does not include detergents and includes reducing agents and chelators, with compatibility of detergents. The buffer of this protein includes SDS which is a detergent, thus Micro BCA. This assay also has high uniformity.

3. Cytochrome C ( horse )-----> Coomassie Plus. Compatibility of the buffers include most reducing agents and chelators. The same compatibility is with Coomassie Bradford assay, but the uniformity is lower in Coomassie Bradford assay.
