(A) it leaves the table horizontally,

hence initial vertical velocity, v0y = 0

Applying d = v0 t + a t^2 / 2

- h = 0 -g t^2 /2

t = sqrt(2h/g)


IN horizontal there is no acceleration hence

d = vx t

vx = d / t = d sqrt(g/ 2h)

(b) vfx = vx = d sqrt(g / 2h)

vfy = - gt = - g sqrt(2h/g) = sqrt(2 h g )


tan(theta) = sqrt(2 h g) / (d sqrt(g / 2h)) = sqrt(2 h g 2 h / g ) / d
