Question

How would you change the bacteria's environment-the plate they are growing on to best tell if they are ampicillin resistant? Very often an organism's traits are caused by a combination of its genes and its environment. Think about the green color you saw in the genetically transformed bacteria: What two factors must be present in the bacteria's environment for you to see the green color? What do you think each of the two environmental factors you listed above are doing to cause the genetically bacteria to turn green? What advantage would there be for an organism to be able or off particular genes in response to turn on to certain conditions?

Explanation / Answer

Q6

We would add ampicillin to the plate medium on which they are to be grown , if they are ampicillin resistant they will grow normally and tolerate ampicillin in plate forming colonies butif they do not possess ampicillin resistant they would not form any colonies on ampicillin contaning medium

ACCORDING TO CHEGG MINIMUM PROTOCOL I AM ELIGIBLE TO ANSWER FIRST FULL QUESTION BUT I WOULD HAVE ANSWERED ALL AS A COURTESY but i am not sure what u actually saw in the lab that was turning bacteria green may be a transformation with GREEN FLOURESCENT PROTIEN not surely other reasons possible also,

I am not sure because the rest questions are based on what u saw in lab.So technically speaking helping is not possible unless i could see the bacteria myself.

Hope it helps.... Regards
