Question
Trying to do my physics lab. Having trouble answering thesetwo questions. I plotted two graphs: V vs. t to see exponentialdecay. And ln V vs. t. We would open the switch and measurethe discharge of the capacitor every 3 seconds through a secondloop.2) The voltmeter reads the voltage acrossits terminals, that is not the same as the voltage across thecapacitor. Show, however, that the voltmeter reading isproportional to the capacitor voltage. What is the constant ofproportionality?
The R meter is = 10M
Any direction would beappreciated!
Explanation / Answer
#1 is just telling to to replace t in the equation with RC. Then you get . V(t) = Vo e-(RC)/RC = Voe-1 = Vo / e . I'm not sure about #2 because I don't know anything about theparticular apparatus you used.Related Questions
