The focal length of the convex mirror is        1 / f = 1 / o + 1/ i               = 1 /     + 1 / -21 ==> f = - 21 cm Therefore the image location when object is placed at 8.4 cm infront of the mirror is            1 /i = 1 / f    -   1 / o                   = - 1 / 21    - 1 / 8.4                   = - 0.0476 - 0.1190                   = - 0.1666 ==> image location i = - 6.00 cm
