Given that        f = - 55.0 cm        ho = 11.0 cm        do = 55 cm (a) We know that       1 / f = 1 / do + 1 /di    ==> 1 / di = 1 / f   - 1 /do                     = - 1 / 55 - 1 / 55                     = - 2 / 55    ==> di = - 27.5 cm (b) we know that            hi /ho = - di / do        ==> hi = - di * ho / do                   = - (-27.5) * 11 / 55                   = 5.5 cm
