Question
What are the purposes of the culture plates, containing disorient ingredients and or receiving a different inoculant? Which one is a control each serve? plate? What purpose does a control On which of the plates would you expect to find bacteria most like the original non-transformed E.coli colonies you initially observed? Explain your predictions. If there any genetically transformed bacterial cells, on which plate(s) would they most likely be located? are Explain your predictions. Which plates should be compared to determine If any gen transformation has occurred? Why?Explanation / Answer
1-Answer
The purpose of culture plate to get single colony of bacteria which can be use for genetic transformation and to do cloning or to understand the gene function etc. the different ingredient require for nutrition and selection of pure bacterial colony from different inoculants .
The control culture plate is two type
Positive control which are having full of bacterial colony because bacteria are genetically transformed by different survival plasmid.
In the Negative control plate none of bacteria grown. Beacuase they are not treated with survival plamids.
2-ANSWER
A control plate are having particular selection chemical which will be give rise to original bacterial colonies.
3-Answer
Genetically transformed bacteria usually visualized on test plate. Because of selection marker of plasmids give rise to survival of tranformed bacteria.
4-Answer
Possitive and Negative control plate is compared with test plate to determine the genetic transformation in bacteria.
