Question
Hello,PV=NRT
My question derives from the relationship of the variables. Forexample, I understand that Pressure is INVERSELY proportional tovolume. But my question stems with temperature (T). How do PVrelate to Temperature in terms of being proportional and inverselyproportional?
I thought that pressure was proportional to temperature, but Ithink it depends on a specific case? And volume seems like itshould be directly proportional, but that doesn't make sense sinceit is inversely proportional to volume.
May someone explain the concept of PV relate to T in certain casesand WHY?
I will rate lifesaver as this concept is very important for me toknow and has been bugging me for a while.
Explanation / Answer
According to BOYL'S law, P 1/V when temparature is constant. According to charleslaw, V T when pressure isconstant According to PREESURE law, P T when volume is constant Multiplying all above relation, P^2*V T^2/V P^2*V^2 T^2 PV T PV=NRT [Ans.]Related Questions
