Question
The figure shows a five-turn, 1.0 cm. diameter coil with R = 0.18 ohms inside a 2.0 cm. diameter solenoid. The solenoid is 8.7 long, has 130 turns, and carries the current shown in the graph. A positive current is cw when seen from the left.Determine the current in the coil at t = 0.010s.
The magnetic field goes in the top of the solenoid, and out the bottom. The graph has a current of .5A from t=0, a current of 0 at t=.01s, and -.5 at t=.02s, a linear function. I am sorry that I do not have images to include, let me know if you guys need further clarification.
Explanation / Answer
The number of turns in the coil of wire is N = 5 turns
The diameter of the coil is d = 1.0 cm = 1.0 * 10^-2 m
