Explanation / Answer

Lung cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in lungs. These abnormal cells do not carry out any normal functions of the lungs and they do not develop any lung tissue.

Lung cancer cells have defects in the regulatory circuit that carry the normal cell proliferation and homeostasis.

The normal lung develops into malignant lung cancer by many genetic and epigenetic alterations.

Series of mutations are carried out in formation of the abnormal cells and that are the precancerous cells and these cells undergo division and produce daughter cells that contained the mutated DNA.

At further stage they develop into the original tumor and start growing in other parts of the body. This process is called metastasis.

Primary lung cancer starts in lungs and then tumor may spread to another portion of the lung and it is called as secondary lung cancer.

Thus the stages of the development of the lung cancer and the lung cancer biology.
