Question

I already did the first part of the problem, which is:

One pound of air undergoes a thermodynamic cycle consisting of three processes.

~ Process 1 -> 2: Constant volume from P1=20 lbf/in^2, T1= 500 R to T2=820 R.
~ Process 2 -> 3: Adiabatic expansion to v3=1.4(v2).
~ Process 3 -> 1: Constant-Pressure compression.

Employing the ideal gas equation of state:
1) sketch the cycle on P-v coordinates.
2)Determine the pressure at state 2, in lbf/in^2.
3) Determine the temprature at state 3, in R.
4) Is this power cycle?

*****The scecond part that i need help in is the following:

Solve the problem assuming constant specific heats, which solution is more accurate an why?

Explanation / Answer

I'm having trouble with step 3, could you please solve that as well, thanks!
