parabola can be represented as

x= 1/1.7 y2   = a/b2 y2

then moment of inertia of parabola about x axis=2/15 b3a

here a= b= 1.7

moment of inertia of parabola= 2/15*1.73*1.7=1.1136 m4

moment of inertia of trangla about its base = bh3/12 = 1.7*1.73/12=0.6960 m4

moment of inertia of shaded region= 1.1136-0.6960=0.4176 m4
