Biomagnification, also known as bioamplification or biological magnification, is the increasing concentration of a substance, such as a toxic chemical, in the tissues of organisms at successively higher levels in a food chain. The major focus of biomagnification, however, is the accumulation of certain non-essential chemicals.As these chemicals are highly insoluble in water but highly soluble in fats therefore it happens.
