Using information provided in the Water for Food infographic on page 2 (can also be found at http://www.unwater.org/downloads/water_for_food.pdf) to answer the following questions:

1. Calculate how many gallons of water are consumed (both what we drink and eat via virtual water imbedded in food) on a daily basis per person, on a daily basis globally today and on a daily basis globally in 2050. Assume minimum daily requirements.

2. How many gallons of water are required to produce 1 pound of steak?

1. Today on daily basis a person per day consumes 2.64 gallons of water. Where as a person in 2050 consumes water of 3.54 gallons of water per day.

2. 441 gallons of water are required to produce a pound of steak.
