Please explain how to do this question... # 6 on page 685 ofCollege Physics.#6 A solenoid 4.00 cm in diameter and 20.0 cm long has 250turns and carries a current of 15.0A. Calculate the magnetic fluxthrough the circular cross-sectional area of the solenoid.
I found magnetic field using B=(4pi x 10-7Tm/A)(15.0A)/(2pi x2x10-2m) = 3x10-4
Then I found area pi radius swuared = .063
Then I used the flux equation...
BAcosangle...got 1.89x10-5
I dont think I used the correct equations and dont see wherenumber of turns comes into play.
