Question

I need help with a problem. I am not very good with Lagrangeequations. Here is the question. It is broken up into threeparts:

"(a) Using the Langrange's approach, find the differentialequations of motion of a projectile in a uniform gravitationalfield (g is the free fall acceleration, no air resistance).

(b) Two blocks of equal mass m are connected by a flexible, massless cord. One block is placed on a smooth horizontal table (nofriction), the other block hangs over the edge. Using theLagrange's approach, find the acceleration of the blocks. (g is thefree fall acceleration)

(c) Using the Lagrange's approach, find the acceleration of a soliduniform sphere rolling down a perfectly rough, fixed inclinedplane. Plane makes angle with the horizontal. [Hint: recallmoment of inertia of the sphere.]"

Any and all help with this is greatly appreciated. I rate high.

Sorry, I can't offer any help, but I'm looking for help with thesame question. What textbook is this problem from?
