1/p + 1/q = 1/f p- object distance q- image distance f- focal point 1/25 + 1/q= 1/10 q=16.7cm since this is a positive number, the image is real magnification= -q/p -16.7/25= -.668 the image is smaller and the negative signlets us know it is inverted
