a small object of mass 3.80 g and charge -18 microC "floats"in a uniform electric field. what is the magnitude and direction ofthe electric field?
Explanation / Answer
a small object of mass 3.80 g and charge -18 microC "floats"in a uniform electric field. what is the magnitude and direction ofthe electric field?here on this smll body there are two forces acting .
1)gravitational force 2)electric force when these two are equal in magnitude and opposite to thedirection the object floats. so 3.8*10-3*9.8=E*18*10-6[as perEq=F] calculating for E it is 2068N/C
