Question

Hello,     My problem is calculating G's for a wordproblem, here is the problem: In a head-on collision, a car may go from 60 mph (about 28m/s)to zero in just 2 meters of space (sometimes less if the collisionis with an immovable barrier like a concrete wall). How many g'sdoes the driver experience in this collision? Show your work. Now I calculated 20'g using theformula  V2=Vo2 + 2a x :        = 282 +2a2        =784 + 4 a -784= 4 a - 196=a 196/9.8 = 20g's Is this correct? Did I use the right formula or am I totallyoffcourse? Should I use a different formula?                                                                                                                Thank you for your help.                                                                                                                           Hawk                                                                                                                        Hello,     My problem is calculating G's for a wordproblem, here is the problem: In a head-on collision, a car may go from 60 mph (about 28m/s)to zero in just 2 meters of space (sometimes less if the collisionis with an immovable barrier like a concrete wall).
